About AIActBase — EU AI Act Compliance, Explained

AIActBase.eu is the practical compliance resource for the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) — written for the people who actually have to comply with it: AI providers, deployers, importers, and the compliance managers who inherited “the AI Act” overnight.

Why this site exists

The AI Act is rolling out in stages, and the deadlines are real. Prohibited-practice rules and AI literacy obligations already apply. On 2 August 2026, the transparency obligations under Article 50 take effect for chatbots, deepfakes, and AI-generated content — and most companies touched by them do not yet know it. The high-risk system requirements follow in 2027.

AIActBase breaks each obligation down into plain language: who it applies to, what evidence you need, and the exact steps to compliance — the same practical, no-fluff approach as our sister sites.

What is coming

Step-by-step guides to Article 50 transparency duties, high-risk classification, general-purpose AI model obligations, conformity assessment, technical documentation, penalties, and compliance for SMEs and non-EU companies selling into the EU. First guides publish in September 2026.

The Compliance Desk network

AIActBase is published by The Compliance Desk, the team behind DirectiveBase.com (CE marking & EU product compliance) and CPRBase.eu (Construction Products Regulation). Practical EU compliance, explained.
